Clinique Moisture Surge Review

Women nowadays have started dealing with a lot of skin issues in the last few years. In the mid-90s, they did not have much skin issues because in those days they emphasized more in using natural products. If not natural products they use very few cosmetics in those days. I am not saying that using much makeup gives you acne issues or any sort of skin issues but those who also suffer from PCOD and PCOS, they do face a lot of skin problems. So why am I suddenly talking about these skin issues or problems?? Any guesses??? Let me unfold the mystery, I know that many of you have come across the brand called “Clinique”. Let me start this blog by discussing this luxurious brand. So without any further ado let’s get started 🙂

About the Brand

Clinique is one of the most luxurious brands based in the US. It started in 1967 making Estee Lauder it’s the parent company. Clinique means beauty which is clinically approached to beauty. They have their custom made skincare section. For example, if you are a combination skin type then they will customize the ingredients and make whatever is suitable for your skin type. Isn’t it a great idea? In fact, on their official website, they have a very cool idea of creating a Clinique Id and with the help of that id, you can customize your own product. Clinique products are available in all Sephora stores and in India, Clinique is only available in Nykaa. The products are clinically approved, free from parabens, silicones, and fragrance. Though Clinique has tons of bestsellers, and one of the best is their moisture surge range is one of the best ones. I am going to give a detailed review of the Clinique Moisture Surge 72-hour auto replenishing hydrator. Let’s talk about this magical product.

Clinique Moisture Surge 72-hour auto replenishing hydrator

About The Product

Clinique launched its Moisture Surge hydrator a decade ago. This moisturizer is specialized for dry skin type women who need excessive hydration. The gel texture makes the moisturizer more unique which eventually helps to heal the skin barrier. Time again Clinique has come up with new ingredients and packaging. First, it was Clinique Moisture Surge thirst relief and now it is Clinique Moisture Surge 72 hour auto replenishing hydrator.

This new version of moisture surge is a gel-like texture which makes this same as that of the previous version. The formula is so lightweight and is good for all skin types. It doesn’t have oil in it, a complete fragrance-free moisturizer contains aloe vera, glycerin, green tea extract, and hyaluronic acid. The ingredients present in this is 1000 times more efficient in keeping your skin hydrated.

According to the brand, the new version is way more hydrated and luscious as compared to the older one. The cream says it keeps your skin hydrated for 72 hours even after washing your face. The product claims to be auto replenishing which means it restores and rehydrates the skin itself. The ingredients present in it also have caffeine which helps generate the skin’s own rehydration system. It helps to lock the moisture in the skin.

Key Ingredients

The key ingredients in Clinique Moisture Surge have caffeine, aloe water, hyaluronic acid, and humectants which helps in sealing the skin moisture.

Key Ingredients

 How to use it?

Clinique Moisture Surge can be used twice or thrice a day. You can start your day by applying a thin layer of moisture surge in the morning and end your day by applying a generous amount of moisturizer at night. Try and use it as much as at night time because that is the best time for a moisturizer to work on your skin feasibly.

It also works as a pre-makeup base, and also acts as a face primer. You can also use this moisture surge as a facial mask. For that, apply a generous amount of Clinique moisture surge in your face and keep it for 15-20 minutes. After 15 minutes wash it off, instantly your skin will start breathing.

Packaging

Now coming to the packaging, It has the same cardboard outer packaging. Ingredients, directions, product life, and the price are mentioned at the back of the packaging. It is a glass container that is not so good for traveling if you buy a regular size. Quite heavy and bulky to carry anywhere. Though looks luxurious, and it has a light baby pinkish gel cream which is almost colorless and odorless.

My Personal View on Clinique Moisture Surge

I am pretty sure that all my girls have their one personal favorite goto product which they use on a regular basis. Sometimes that same go-to product does give us acne or pimple issues. So for me, Clinique Moisture Surge has become that goto product for me.

A magical product for Indian and foreign beauty bloggers and influencers. Surprisingly it has become my magical product as well. Clinique Moisture Surge 72 hours auto replenishing hydrator has been one of the best skin care products in many famous magazines. The product is tested in highly equipped laboratories and they have testers in the stores. So that their customers can test the magical product and choose to buy. After using it, immediately my skin felt hydrated and it remained hydrated the whole day.

In the Sephora store, Clinique Moisture Surge has been the best selling product ever. I am dry skin type, I went to the store and thought of trying the moisture surge for the first time. The attendant first applied a pea-sized amount of moisture surgeon my hand and immediately it got absorbed in my skin. I bought a travel size which contains a 15gm product which cost me around 900 INR.

Frankly speaking, I am not disheartened by the price because the product does whatever it claims and that’s the best part. In Fact, I would suggest everyone head over to a Nykaa Luxe store or a Sephora store and get one for yourself. Try to avoid buying such costly products from online and if in case you are buying check the authenticity before buying it.

It is an investment for sure, not only for your pocket but for your skin. This product can definitely give you results within 1 week of regular use. With this, I can also suggest a good alternative for Clinique Moisture Surge, which is Ponds Super Light gel moisturizer. It works exactly the same way as moisture surge. Ya, I know this blog is about Clinique Moisture Surge but I am mentioning this because it is not possible for everyone to purchase such expensive moisturizer for daily use.

This information is for those who are looking for an affordable alternative. The only thing which bothers me about this product is, it’s price and availability. As it is a high-end brand it doesn’t come anyway near to drugstore moisturizer. So it is difficult for college going girls to use it on a daily basis. Now coming on to availability, most of the states and cities in India don’t have a Sephora store or a Nykaa Luxe Store for them they have only the option of buying it online.

So far I love the product and I would highly highly recommend this product to each and every girl out there. The price won’t disappoint you once you start using the product. I am sure you are all gonna love it. I will give it 4.5 out of 5 and will definitely repurchase it.

Disclaimer-  In this blog I have given my own personal view on Clinique Moisture Surge. It is not a sponsored review, Clinique has not paid me anything to speak good or bad about any product. One more thing the product which works for me might not reach out to you. I have different skin type and you all have different skin types. Some products do a miracle on the skin overnight and some take time.

So take time, give time to your daily moisturizer. You never know it might surprise you after a few days. In anyways I am not promoting you guys to buy this product as I know these days are very difficult for all of us. Now it’s time to end this blog here.
