All my ladies out there we all know that lipsticks are girl’s best friend and each one of you are fond of a different textures and consistency. So coming to the point of talking about the liquid lipstick or liquid lacquer there are so many brands in race, when it comes on high end or whether it comes to drug store brands competing with each other.

Now coming to the brand Avon it is the fifth largest beauty company and it is the second largest direct selling enterprise in the world after the brand “Amway”. Though we cannot say that it’s completely drug store or a high end brand but in India I have seen many women working for this brand Avon, in fact in my own house I have seen my mum and my aunt using this brand. As we all know that Avon has a good beauty ranges i.e., skin care product, bronzing powder, fragrances (For Men & Women), face powder, lipsticks etc.

So today I am here to give the review about their “Mark liquid lip lacquer matte”.

About the liquid lip lacquer:

As we know that we get many varieties of liquid lipsticks in the market for example some of them might be mousse in texture, some of them might be completely matte, some might be very liquidy, some might be little sticky or some might be little uncomfortable to wear but Avon do have their own version of liquid lipstick which is in the form of a lacquer. These lipstick range comes out with two version one is of shine range and another is of matte range.

I am here to discuss about their matte range. Now quickly coming to the shade ranges the lipstick consist of beautiful reds, pinks, oranges and brown. In this matte version they have all total of 10 shades. These lipsticks are velvety in texture which very smoothly glides into the lips once applied which don’t dries out your lips at all. With one application your lips tends to look perfectly airbrushed and moisturized.

Packaging:

The lacquer comes with a cardboard outer packaging which includes all the manufacturing and expiry details of the product with the price mentioned in it. The lipstick comes with a glass bottle with the colour coded outer packaging , now talking about the wand, it is a petal shaped wand which helps in correcting out the amount of product used in the lips to even it out. The wand is of such a good quality that in a single swipe it gives completely hundred percent opaque finish with a ting of sheen in it. The wand takes out excess amount of the product so one need to completely swipe of the excessive product and apply it on the lips. So that the lips does not seems to be cakey or lumpy.

One more thing which has been noticeable that is which was my personal favourite part, I like the fact that you can see the part of the product that takes off from a wand which makes the lipstick’s appearance very interesting to watch.

Shade:

Flushed

The shade flushed comes under the category of dark pink. When applied on the lips it tends to give you a bright fuchsia color  for duskier tone and salmon pink in fair skin tone.

Dare To Be Bare

The shade Dare To Be Bare comes under the category of nude or brown. When applied on lips it tends to give you chocolaty brown for duskier tone and chestnut brown or bricky brown in fair skin tone.

Pros:

1. Extremely pigmented
2. Buttery soft in texture
3. Moisturizers your lips
4. Does not require lip balm underneath the lips because it gives the feeling of the application of lip primer in it.
5. One swipe is enough to complete the whole lip.
6. Does not dries out the lips at all.
7. Glides on very easily.
8. Even after 8 to 10 hours the color does not completely fades away without bleeding.
9. It’s a good dupe for NYX soft matte lip cream.
10. The outer packaging looks very cute and handy.
11. A decent quantity of 7 ml product according to the price point.

Cons:

1. Not transfer proof at all.
2. In fact after settling down it also transfers.
3. Could have come with some different shade ranges.
4. The product is not cruelty free.
5. Not available easily in drug store market.

  1. I am a 50 year women and Avon is a such a trusted brand which I used a lot during my age but this lipstick seems to be very different from the one which I have used, hope I can use this soon. Nice article. Keep writing

  2. Since valentine’s day is coming I am thinking of gifting this lipstick to my girlfriend because you look pretty in this shade and she is more or less as same as your skintone. I haven’t heard about this brand but I after reading this article I found it good to be gifted. Thanks for sharing the article dude.

  3. I’ve been browsing online more than 2 hours today, yet I never
found any interesting article like yours. It’s pretty worth enough for me.
Personally, if all site owners and bloggers made good content
as you did, the internet will be much more useful than ever
    before.

  4. Its like you read my thoughts! You seem to grasp a lot about this, such as you wrote the e book in it or something. I think that you can do with some p.c. to pressure the message home a little bit, but other than that, that is excellent blog. An excellent read. I will certainly be back.
